Just grab an older one thats had a soft life and damn near straight. You can get them for next to nothing and if u want get an experienced welder to spend a few hrs looking it over. Strip it back and its effectively a new one, then adapt to exactly to what u want rather than what others want or what they churn out these days.
They're tinnies...why the hell people pay big money for them is beyond me. Mass produced new ones are effectively just spray painted or shiney old ones...with a fancy marketing name to suck in the tv fisho, cpl of stickers and maybe a glossy brochure. Throw some beers at a cpl of magazine guys for a better than good write up, then tell people its somehow new and wonderful design rather than just another tinnie. People get suckered into paying way over what they're truly worth thinking its somehow much better....then spend their time trying to protect a paintjob rather than using it for what they're intended for. You'll catch a heap more fish and have a heap more fun on an older cheaper one coz you'll get it right in there where they are, throw it about, have less maintenance and use it how it was intended.
