Squid tips Maroochydore / Mooloolaba please
Hello all..
After tucking into a nice feed of fresh calamari at a mates place near Maryborough I am keen to get a few myself..
I used to live at Redcliffe but have since moved to the Sunshine Coast so would like some assistance in getting onto a few up here.. I normally put in either La Balsa Park in the Mooloolah River or in the Maroochy River but am happy to explore a bit too.
Any tips as to where you catch them and what water depths we are talking about would be greatly appreciated..
Reply or PM would be great.
Thank you

Vertico, Point Cartright?
Is that off the rocks? I might lose some squid jigs though.

I was thinking of doing a bit of a drift across the bommies at Pt Cartwright... If you are using burley would you be at anchor? I suppose the bonus to that is that there is some nice grassy sweetlip in those bommies too.
I was also thinking of all the bommies on the southern side of Old Woman Island..
Anyone had any luck with day time squid catches? I have only ever fished them during night time.
