My son William and I spent a few hours yesterday walking the banks of the upper Brisbane River casting spinner baits.
First cast resulted in the smaller bass and within the next half hour or so we had several other strikes but no hook ups.
We persisted and then William pulled up tight on this 48 cm specimen. Needless to say by the smile on Williams face, he was pretty happy with his efforts.
Both bass swam free and we also caught a tilapia which was dispatched accordingly.
