Did my first trip up to Burrum a few weeks ago and picked up some nice mackerel and a couple of snapper. Just planning ahead for next years trip and was wondering what the fishing is like in May. Is it too early for snapper and mackerel.

May is very barren, its in between seasons. I fished the river a lot last May for bugger all. The 8 mile reef is OK tho.
Fishing- It's only an addiction if you're trying to quit.
Wow it has changed. We used to fish the river on the full moon in may and clean up on solid bream. That's 20 years ago though. Don't supposed the township has changed much there since then? As like anywhere else........
