    Tuggerah Lakes

After some rain to stir things up a bit and The Entrance channel having forced itself open a bit more than it has been for the last few years the fishing is looking better than it has for quite a while.

Today we took some good sized bream and a nice table size flattie, while others we chatted with back at the ramp also had flatties and bream. The effect of the "fresh" seawater coming in through the channel can be seen up to where the main channels enter the lake itself.

Here's hoping its a good fishing summer.

    Re: Tuggerah Lakes

Its always great fishing when one of the lakes 'open up' after a few years of limited flow. Same thing happens with Lakes Illawarra, Tabourie, Conjola, Catthie and many others. It allows the stock to be replenished and the water to be refreshed (also makes for a great prawn season for the rec scoopers).

    Cheers
