    interesting reading.

As a side note under part 2 _Ideallogy, He talks about the belief of the greens that the earth is a living organism and we are merely part of it naming it Gaia.

Has anyone here seen the "Avatar" movie? Seems a bit of brainwashing of our children happened in that. The planet in the movie "Pandora" is discovered to be one big interconnected living organism and the plants and creatures are merely part of it.

This "gaia' belief system features prominently during the entire movie, and its all about how capitalism is destroying it.

The ###### who wrote and made that movie needs a swift kick up the arse and a good beatdown for his attempt to influence and brainwash our children.

PS sorry for that, just watched the movie for the first time on my flight back to Qld so was brought straight to my thoughts when I read the article

    Thanks Chris,

Scott..... you have an opinion on what the writter tried to do with the kids that watched Avatar, but what about those of us that watched it.... twice even ?

Personally, I like the escapism and left the knowledge of the undertones at the entry door to the cinema.

Yeah, Cameron is his name. Total ######. Lectures the World about Carbon footprint while he owns SEVEN MANSIONS, and jets around the world in a private jet. Gotta love High Priests. It goes back to my pet hate - get your own house in order before you contemplate telling me about mine.

I nearly walked out of the film, as it stinks of his politics. But I decided to just sit back and enjoy the ride, a-la Phill. But I will never watch it again.

    Cheers,

Phil, don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the movie, just didn't click onto the fact until I read the above peice. Point is I know better about what to believe, kids don't.

I did think throughout the movie though, that it was a nice fluffy way to put shit on capitalism, just didn't realise how deep the brainwashing went.

Without capitalism, we would all still be living in caves and mud huts hunting down our meat, gathering our own fruits and veg and huddling around a piss ant fire trying to keep warm. Trouble is, if we were still living like that you can bet these friggin greenies wouldn't exist, and the only people who didn't eat meat were the ones too stupid or inept to hunt or fish.

It's all well and good for these hollywood types to put shit on capitalism and our way of life today, but without it, as Timi said, no mansion, no private jets, no computers, cinemas etc, how would they make their living if not for our way of life today?...They wouldn't they'd all be dead in a ditch somewhere if they think how they do now if we didn't have today's lodern luxuries and conveniences

Scott, I think you'll find that intensive farming actually predates capitalism by a good 7,000 years.

Vegetarian - Ancient tribal slang for the village idiot that can't hunt, fish or ride.

James Cameron..awesome..Terminator, Terminator II, The Abyss, Titanic and on and on it goes. Not seen Avatar and probably never will..not into 10' tall blue creatures..prefer the liquid metal ones he created.
