Re: moroon newby
Been doing very well there lately. Fish seem to be holding all around the edges up against the lillies on top of the weed beds and flats. Spinnerbaits and jackalls are doing very well, just make sure your spinnerbaits have stingers on them. Seem to be biting all day except between about 11am and 2pm seem to shut down a bit. The whole perimeter of the dam is holding fish so they shouldnt be hard to find. Just go and cast whatever you have got to any of the edges and you should do good, dont flog a spot too much either if your not pulling fish. I rarely stay in any particular bay for more then half an hour if i dont get a fish in that time.
Hope this helps, Dave

Re: moroon newby
Well said Dave.
Suspending jerkbaits go really well too, shallow around the edges and weedbeds and some deeper ones out further.
Surface can be hit and miss in the mornings but afternoons usually produce just when the wind drops off before dark it can be an intense surface bite.
Mid morning and arvo can be really good with small squidgy fish on jigheads, as they are the right size to match the gudgeons the bass feed on there.
Good luck
Mick.
