    northern bay

    gday,
been a while since i posted a report as i havent been out due to family and work commitments. plus the rain stuffed things up for awhile.

fished the north eastern bay today on my pat malone as no fishing buddies were available. managed to catch only a single schoolie and a few tailor and lost a bigger schoolie at the boat. could have quite easily netted it if i had someone else onboard. went for a tail grab boat side. buggers are slippery and i ended up losing the estimated +90cm fish boat side. to say i was frustrated was an understatement. fish caught on bass assassin crystal blue flick bait. other than the downside of losing a nice fish it was a good day to be out as conditions were nice.

oh, if anyone has lost a rod bout ten years ago i have it. hahahaha.

    Hey, that's my rod!!
It looked like a cracker day out there. Too bad about the one that slipped away. I go solo half the time and it does test the one handed netting skills. Good job on what you did get.

Mate, you can't argue with those conditions! Magic!

That reminds me of a story from when I was a kid. We were fishing for whiting with the old man when my brother dropped his rod over the side. About 30mins later we were repeating the same drift and I hooked his rod!

Hope this weekend has conditions like that!
