hey could anyone please give me some help on where to take my daughter land based fishing on the gold coast . not after monster fish just want to see her catch her first fish, she is 3.5 yrs old i have soft plastics and bait. any info would be much appreciated
Take a trip to marine stadium at the Spit. Tonnes of whiting around there this time of year, good sizes too. Pump yabbies at low tide or take a bag of frozen prawns, there's always a few fish around. Have caught flathead there on plastics as well, and seen a few monsters pulled up on hardbodies. Lots of rays and mullet too.

yeah at that age, any fish is a good fish. All they need is action. The hardest part is getting them to leave the bait out for long enough for anything to find it.
I try and break up a fishing trip for my kids. Pump yabbies, have a fish, have a swim, have something to eat, have another fish, etc.
