Hey all.
Ive recently purchased a Gary Howard breambo 10'6 rod and im looking to target luderick and bream specifically. I was looking at some possible threadlines to match with it and im just wondering if i could get any advice? My first thoughts were to match it with a shimano twinpower reel in size 2500.
Mate I don't know anything about the rod you have bought, but I have a TwinPower 2500FC and love it, one of the few Shimano reels I have kept.

2500 series, or even a 3500 series reel would be perfect with that rod. It is a beautiful rod for chasing Luderick and Bream. Also a great rod in the surf for whiting and flathead and tailor (though it would struggle to throw a decent sized pillie). It is a great rod.....very similar to the Wilson Shoreline that I use for the same purpose (the GH one is a bit better wrapped). I use a 2500 Daiwa Tierra on one and a 5" alvey on the other. (I have four of em....low mount two and one piece, and medium mount two and one piece).
I think it would be sacrilege to put a egg beater on a breambo
thats the way Stik Ugly....keep knocking people for using good tackle in a way that YOU think they shouldnt. There is nothing wrong with using an 'egg beater' or threadline reel with that rod. Thats why it is made with different winch mounts...so that you can use it with different style reels. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Has anyone heard that Wilson are re-releasing Snyder Glas rods? I read it Fishing Monthly for NSW but everytime i look for them i can't seem to find any info, ive even looked on the Wilson fishing site.
Saw them on the weekend. Apparently only released last week.
