Three settlements at Stanage. All have houses for rent but Camping is at Plumtree. The end of the road. Across the road from the store & tackle shop right on the water front. Mostly shaded with (you guessed it) wild plum trees. Get a bit sticky when fruiting. Facillities are drop toilets & some rainwater tanks. These are entirely rain dependent (not topped up) so best to take as much of your own as you can carry. There is a small lagoon at one of the other settlements but not for drinking. No fees for camping but a donation to the coastguard is the thing to do. Shop has most supplies but is not Woolworths. Tackle shop has most of what you would need but is not BCF. Ramp is concrete but could be rough in a northerly. Larger boats have access to all the islands while smaller tinnies can fish the channel. I did no good land based but told the are some good spots if you are prepared to walk. We went for 2 days & stayed 2 weeks. Bill
