I had one on my boat i pulled it off and made my own ,the rod holders are only plastic and are held on with pop rivets ,they might be all right with small rods in them in calm water but for me the pop rivets pulled through the plastic and then you got hit in the head with a rod.
    Cheers Steve

I get you, problem is all the ready made ones I can find have plastic rod holders and I have enough other work on the boat without making my own.

    Whitworths and Bias have this

    Guess I will keep searching

How will this fold in conjunction with your bimini, the drawings look as though you have to disconnect the rod holder from the bimini stays before you can collapse your bimini and rod holders so this could be a pain in the butt. A good marine upholsterer could probably make one to fit your bimini so that they work as one. I had one fitted to my boat with plastic rocket launchers and they seem fine so far.

The whole thing is only light construction and its looks from your avater that you have a good size boat. I've seen a quality rocket launcher break with game rods on and the boat coming off a wave. Bang $10 k gone overboard.

So it depends on what sort of use you are putting the launcher to but if its not the lightest use then you can lose the lot.

Not an issue as my bimini doesn't fold

Nice, but you may want a gusset or 2 on those brackets so they dont crack. I think I am going for the OceanSouth unit with a few mods.
