    Hi Gazza

I don't know your particular sounder so can't offer you any advice with that. But, I can tell you that it is worth spending a couple of hours reading the manual thoroughly and playing with the settings out on the water.

I have had a Humminbird sounder for a couple of years and wasn't overly happy with the readings/details etc I was getting. Then one rainy day a few months ago I sat and read the manual front back and went and sat in my boat in the shed and fiddled with the settings on it. Next time on the water I fine tuned the new settings and it is now like I have a new sounder. The difference is night and day.

Have a fiddle. You won't break it
