yep...it's always good to jump online every year your insurance is due and see if you can do better elsewhere
Not certain where to put this could a mod relocate please.
Just got my renewal for my car insurance from NRMA $450.
Did an online quote with a few others and YOUI came in at $267 so rang NRMA and got a long speil about how they were a premium company not a budget company and thought here we go big line of B/S and to my amazement they came back with a quote of $240 same policy as previously.Saved $210 with a 4 min phone call.
Cheers

Great work Ray.
Good advice for all there.
I did a similar thing with my electricity bill, rang another provider and bob's ya uncle.......... discounted rates.
Re:- car/ boat insurance etc.......... please READ the policy on what it does and more importantly DOES NOT cover. There are differences.
Cheers Phill

wish they insured 4WD's with extra's the value of my extra's are twice the value of the car
TCIS is the only one i have come close to so far, any others out there that insure 4WD's with all the extra's?
at least TCIS will cover the add-ons at 1/2 their value to 50% the market value of the vehicle, that is for a lets say a $12000 market value vehicle they will also insure $12000 worth of add ons at 50% of their value = $6000 on top of market value so = $18000.00. please correct me if this is wrong as I am about to renew policy
cheers Murf
Murf,
Give ING a call, they have been the cheapest for the Roo the last two years running by a few hundred bucks and insure extra's

I jumped from Suncorp to RACQ just last week.. RACQ came in $100 cheaper! with an agreed value of 15k (suncorp didn't want to agree for more than 13k) + extras which I rattled off some prices for.. $300 for spotties, 1k for bullbar, $500 for UHF, $300 for stereo, $800 for mags etc.. Was quite happy with them! I also asked about insurance "offroad" and they said as long as it was a known/marked track I was insured, even at places like Landcruiser park! not bad for $500 a year.
cheers
Brandon...
I can't believe the differences between the mobs
Brandon isn't insurance insurance when it comes to where your 4WD is/or is being used?
would be like insurance on a boat but not covered if put into water
I know some have diff levels of recovery as in how far they will go to get your vehicle back if way out in the bush somewhere
trying to ask all the questions that suit me is the hard bit, getting answers is the harder bit
another few calls me thinks haha
cheers Murf
I'm just lucky all my vehicles are old sh!tters.
Shannon's wins hands down
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good
Murf, no mate. most of them are very similar but some of them offer additional cover. I can't remember the name of them but there is only one insurance company that I have heard of insuring you during a 4x4 comp (isn't cheap).
Towing isn't handled by insurance as far as I know? I think its covered with roadside assistance.
cheers
Brandon...
well thanks to Heath I went with ING they were heaps cheaper, gave a great agreed value as well as are taking premiums out of my acc monthly for no extra cost
TCIS the 4WD insurance mob are not worth the paper they write on (I was with them) a mate got screwed over big time by them so I asked a lot of questions of all that I rung and ING came up trumps
cheers Murf
and Brandon 4WDing is 4WDing but as soon as a timed event or comp comes into play its a whole diff story
cheers Murf
