    Superwinch Opinions Please

I'm looking at upgrading my Cruiser wagon and the proposed new one has a Superwinch fitted.

Are these a cheap and nasty winch or half way decent?

I've got an old Warn XD 9000 on my current Cruiser and want to know if its worth the trouble to swap em over before I sell the old truck.

    Thanks,
    Roo.

Yes and Yes. Depending on the condition of the old warn xd 9000 swap em over. Mates have moto, superwinch and all kinds of brand winches which are crap. Having said that though, I hadly ever use my winch. I use it more for pulling tree's out of my parents yard than actual 4wding.

I'd swap them over, the super winch are ok but very noisy and the solenoids are a weak point like all winches i guess.

    Thanks guys.

Never really heard of Superwinch before so I reckon I will probably make the effort to switch em over now.

    Cheers,

I looked it up. They claim the usa make them. But like warn usa. Only a few models are actually made in the usa. The rest are made over seas. Mostly they come down to drum and brake design. Free spool and solinoids. But at the end of the day, any winch is better than no winch. Even though mine gets used about 3 times a year, its still good insurance.
