can anyone tell me if theres going to be a problem with any interference by having two sounders of the same brand, different model running on separate transducers. will 1 pick up signals from the other.
thanks jp

Jason im pretty sure mate you will get interferance. I have 2 sounders but only one plugged in due to that problem. Allways good to have 2 of each, you never know when you could have a problem.

I'd say if the transducers are the same frequency then u would have issues.
Can you set it up with one as a 50 or 80 for deeper work and maybe the other a 200 ?
thanks for the input fellas mmm i thought there would have to be some sort of interference but i have herd of other people running two sounders at the same time. deckie you may be on the right path there. when i do get it all set up i guess the only true way to find out to is to play around with it and see what the outcome is.
i know there r people out there running 2 sounders and i would love to know how they have it set up? two different frequencies sounds like the go, maybe???
thanks jp
Different frequencies works.
Alot of people who run two sounders only use one at a time; one while travelling / trolling, the other at the front used when stopped & casting / jigging.
Decent brands / models have dual frequencies that you can turn either frequency off. Eg my boat has 2 x Humminbirds, I run one in 200khz the other in 80khz. I can switch them around to take advantage of wider beam angles etc

I run 2 sounders at the same time, different brands but that should not matter, I run my primary in 200 and my secondary in 50.

thanks every1 for your input, running on two seperate tranceducers on different frequencies looks to be the go. looking forward to trying it all in the near future.
thanks again jp
just found some info in the hds manual.
when using two units on your boat, lowering the ping speed of one of the units will prevent interference (cross-talk) caused by one transducer detecting pings from the other transducer.
jp
Yes you can run 2 at the same time, same frequencies, I ran a Lowrance and a Furno at the same time, you have to adjust some settings in each sounder to tell it that there is another ping interferance. Read the manual.
Mine worked fine
