Thread: Rego and insurance

    Rego and insurance

Can anyone give me an idea of what Rego costs for an 11 foot tinny with a 6HP motor?

Does the size of the motor and boat change the cost of Rego?

What ball-park figure would insurance cost for the above?

    Thanks

    Re: Rego and insurance

Registration is determined by the size of the hull. See below link:

Insurance is dependant on a range of factors including your location (suburb), previous claims etc.

    Hope this helps a bit.

I am a boat licence provider and must have boat and public liability insurance - I go through an insurance broker known as IC Frith (phone 30047400) - they will get the best marine insurance for you on the day.
    Hope this helps.

    Re: Rego and insurance

So ur looking at $84.45 per year. However if you drop the motor to a 4 Hp it's free. I currently have the same setup 11foot plus a 6 hp but will be downgrading to a 4hp ( as i would use it maybe once a year)
