wuruma dam fishing stories welcome

wuruma dam has any one fished this dam
i was looking at taking my kids out for a run in the next two weeks or so
is it worth the drive or should i just go to cania .
would love any fishing stories or tips

The outlaws spent a week out there about a month ago and could not raise a scale. Neither bass nor barra. They usually go pretty well in the other impoundments they go to. Said there were heaps on the sounder just could not get them to bite. Hope this helps

Hi,
When we were at the caravan park out near Cania Dam for the bass electric grandfinal, the people in the van next to us went there on the Saturday rather than fight with 68 competitiors at the boat ramp at cania they went to Wuruma ( they were Victorians who had never fished for barra ) they said they were casting shallow diving lures ( sebile ? ) and caught a 80cm, an 89cm dropped a metre plus at the boat then couldn't stop another thar just hit and took off, it was an overcast day ( NO RAIN ) and they would of got on the water at about 7 am and fished until 12 midday !

PS - they said that they had to launch the boat at a hard gravel place next to the boatramp because the boatramp high and dry.
