Ok so after owning and loving the little tin cat for a couple of years now I have worked out all the things I wanted to do to the boat to make it how I want it. So things on the list were:

1. Bilge pump wells at the back of the boat for water to fall into before being bilged out. I would get water from spray, the deck wash hose and when I empty the livey tank out sloshing around the back and a bilge pump on flat tin doesnt pick everything up.

2. An anchor well

3. A windscreen. This had to be able to fold down as I have a camper that sits over the top of the boat and a fixed windscreen would obstruct it.

4. An in build fuel tank

5. A casting deck with under floor storage and casting chair (dicky seat).

6. This mean that my fold down seat that was bolted to the console had to be removed to the rear ( see pics).

So first off was to gut the boat and send it away to Allan and Tim Boughton to have her cut up and my deck welded, Bilge Wells done, fuel tank made and installed, rear seat relocated and removable back rest rod holders made (sissy bar), fold down windscreen frame made and the anchor well made.

If you search my first thread about the boat I think called "my new rig" you will see that I have full clears as an option so I wanted to keep that option alive which explains the odd shape of the casting deck. EDIT: Threw in an old photo of the boat kitted up with the clears.

Ok so with the majority of the Fabrication work done I figured it time to send it to Grand marlin to have the wiring done. List included:

-New ICOM VHF flush mounted in console along with Radio.
- All wiring done with proper fusing
- Proper mounting point for Watersnake Jack.
- Voltage Sensitive Relay/circuit breaker wired into second battery.
- Nav Lights wired in and All round white mounted on new windscreen frame.
- Under Gunwhale LED's to replace my old dodgy attempt, 4 in back and one under the deck so I can see into the esky at night.
- New speakers flush mounted into console.
- New arial/antenna mounted and split to VHF and Radio.
- Bilge Pumps wired in
- New Switch panel mounted and sealed.

Then it was off to fabricate my new casting deck and rear floor I am happy with the result, just have to fit some perspex for the screen and maybe paint the top sides later.

So thats mostly it for the boat for the time being. Next trip home is the start of the new trailer. It will be massive! Have nearly everything ready to go as soon as I get home. Ally box and structural channel, Ally and stainless sheet/plate. Stainless box for the side posts. Old Man Emu Coils, Nitro shocks and airbags!!!! Stainless 12" Ventilated Disks and Callipers, New Speedy mags with BFG Goody All terrains 265/70/17 by four! Just have to work out what I am going to use to make the independent trailing arms. A month or two before piccies of that one! Should be epic.

Looks great is that your camper sitting ove the boat in your avatar, did the mods add much wieght to the boat ?

Sorry for the late reply I missed it. I don't think the mods added too much weight at all. I actually didn't get to try it out after i finished it as the weather turned bad the day after i finished and then had to get my butt back overseas for work. That is the camper over the boat in the avatar- it's set up for just an over night stop over. The whole camper comes off and is extended for longer stays.
