Strong wind warning!
I think the B.O.M. are getting rediculous, issuing strong wind warnings willy nilly in the evening only to cancel them in the mornings.
Then there's the rain! Forecasting showers and rain near on every time a cloud goes past?
And while im at it, why must they use 24 hour time for some things, then 12 hour time for others all on the same page of their web site?
They are the source of the weather forecast, yet other weather sites tend to me more accurate.
Who exactly is running that show!

Re: Strong wind warning!
it's kind of hard to follow isn't it? the last forecast i looked at was for 15-20 se till thursday and now it looks like 5-10 variable till thursday and i woke up to clear skies and no wind this morning. it just shows that in nature, anything can happen any time. it's a bit frustrating when you just want to go out in the boat though.

Agree that weather forecasting can be unpredictable but so is climate itself. Thats why they're predictions. Nature has too many variables for even the largest computers to model with 100% accuracy. That being the case I guess its better to sway the uncertainty towards cancelling wind events that don't happen rather than not mentioning those that may. IMO predictions have improved to no end over the last few years.
Having said that, it does suck when you cancel a trip for what turns out to be a pearler of a day.
