Put the boat in at Strathdees about 6:30 this morning, overcast and blowing 15-20 so tried to tuck in close to the banks out of the wind. Took until about 8:30 to get the first fish in the boat and it was a little Trev.
We then ventured towards the mouth and gave up with the electric and ended up anchoring out from the North wall. I got nothing but my wife managed a 45cm Trev after a bit of a tussle. It was carrying on a bit like a flatty so it was a bit of surprise when she got it in. Then we called it quits for the day.
On the way back to the ramp we noticed some splashing in the water and went over to investigate and found two large turtles making lurve. Got a couple of pics, but didn't want to get too close and scare them.
There were half a dozen or so boats around the port terminal throwing cast nets and a heap of birds, so I assume there will be a few people eating prawns tonight.
