    2 weeks at Fraser 18/9-2/10

Just got home from a 2 week stay at Orchid Beach on Fraser Island. Caught plenty of good fish and saw plenty more caught also. Was part of the spectactle which is the re-opening of the headlands on September 30 and got the yak wet in Marloo bay with good results that I will post in the kayaking section. Saw plenty of nobs with no idea slaghter large amounts of fish but overall had a blast and have finally had a holiday and come home completely relaxed.

    A couple of pictures:

Gee Kev, this is a much edited version to the 16 pages on AKFF!
Great work mate, you deserve every one of the fish you got.
What about the couple of "specials" you got from the yak mate?
    Cheers and thanks.

It was one of the more spectacular openings I've seen - plenty of fish caught by a large number of happy (and some unhappy) punters.

Yeah Red, scaled it back a bit for the Ausfishers as most of us have seen a million fraser island tailor and flatty stories but I split the kayaking tales out and posted them in the Kayak Section as a stand alone post.

    Jono_SS,

Yes mate there were some grumpy buggers up there. Didn't anyone tell them that fishing is supposed to be fun? School holidays is not the time to be at Fraser without a sense of humour.

J-C, looks like you had a great couple of weeks. So jealous and envious too.
Haven't fished shoulder to shoulder like that for years, not sure if it'd be fun these days, what with all the surf rage you hear about. Was there much gutter rage?
Damm, that carpark is an awesome site. That was our view every morning form the house at Indian, but without the cars.
