peel island 18th, 19th 23rd & 26th

hi all,

haven't posted for a while as been busy doing my little bit of work for the year. Went to Peel saturday a week back and sat on the anchor for 7 hours for a 42cm snapper, a turtle (bloody good size - flogged the arms) a whaler, cat shark and a cow fish - pretty ordinary. went back the next morning with no bait except the plastic variety and had a 66cm snapper on the boat in the first 10 minutes (9.30 in the morning). couldn't get another but didn't stay all that long. went back to the same place on thursday morning before work and spent 3 hours flicking plastics before getting a 58 cm in the box (11.00 in the morning). still hadn't had enough, so i went out 2am sunday morning and anchored with cuttlefish for bait. just after 5am i got the best for the week with a 68 cm snapper that weighed in at 3.5kg exactly. exciting stuff on a little baitcaster outfit. Can't wait to give it another go. Sorry i can't post photos (lost another mobile to davy jones and this one i can't get the photos off it as yet).
