cheers rosco
I'll definitely give it another go, If you use bait jigs, I think we were using hooks (and baits) that were way too big, as we were using #2 and #1 mustad aberdeens. We missed a heap of bites. Thanks for helping out with another piece of the puzzle, much appreciated.
We did switch to paternoster rigs as we were getting a fair bit of weed on the sinker/swivel/hook rigs.
Looking forward to getting back out there, and getting a decent feed of those sweet tings.
Ive used the bait jigs, just cut into 3 then attach more line with a uni knot top and bottom to allow you to place a sinker at bottom and swivel at top, those little sinkers with a ring at the top is good, the rigs work great, only trouble is when they swallow the hook, im not too keen on winter whiting, they have a funny taste to me, give me a flathead fillet done in batter any day... cheers
