    greg i use a bait jig cut the 6 hook rigs down to 2 hooks get 3 rigs out of the 1 jig...i use i think it is a #8 hook i find these work really well as the hooks are so sharp....same set up though a patanoster...i was gettin constant double hookups on sunday....my oldman used the old sinker, swivel, hook and caught fair few but got alot of weed also

    yeah they where a bit harder to find later in the day...pitty you only got a few but its still good to get out with the family on the water...hope u get a few more next time

    I'll definitely give it another go, If you use bait jigs, I think we were using hooks (and baits) that were way too big, as we were using #2 and #1 mustad aberdeens. We missed a heap of bites. Thanks for helping out with another piece of the puzzle, much appreciated.

    We did switch to paternoster rigs as we were getting a fair bit of weed on the sinker/swivel/hook rigs.

    Looking forward to getting back out there, and getting a decent feed of those sweet tings.

    Ive used the bait jigs, just cut into 3 then attach more line with a uni knot top and bottom to allow you to place a sinker at bottom and swivel at top, those little sinkers with a ring at the top is good, the rigs work great, only trouble is when they swallow the hook, im not too keen on winter whiting, they have a funny taste to me, give me a flathead fillet done in batter any day... cheers

    i use no 1 true turns.
    only get the odd one that swallows the hook.
    mate of mine got his 50 today in couple hrs

    i like them grilled whole.then just pull the flavoursome fillet off.then suck the eye.
