    That's not a crab - THAT'S a crab

    Ran up to Bribie this morning to see if I could find a few sandies, and pick up a few whiting at the same time. The sandies were scarce - only got about 6 with only one legal buck. The whiting were also a bit hard to find, but I managed half a dozen on the top of the tide with one good one over 30cm. There were heaps of bream about - caught 17 but only kept 2, and got one legal lizard as well.

    But I did get one muddie - and what a muddie! You can see it's size against a standard foam cooler lid. It weighed 1.85 kg. Made an ordinary day a bit special!

    Feed fit for a king Freeedom...just that muddie alone would have been allright for me Old mate picked the wrong day to be out and about huh.

    That's a good sized crab, never caught one that big myself. Great mixed bag freedom.

    Nice seafood tray there tonight. You done a lot better than me - i struggled for only 4 bream today - biggest was 37cm. Apart from that - i had a quiet day. Have fun eaten those lucky buggers. Darren.

    Great crab you have there John, not often one can get a big one like that, well done and I bet it was full too.

    Good effort on the fish too, I'll invest in a boat one day when I can afford one.
