    Hay's Inlet/Woody Point Saturday

Because of the dead low and the condition of the clontarf ramp, we hit the water around 8.30am. Headed up into Hay's and trolled for 45 minutes which resulted in 1 bat ray. Decided to drift and did no better. Anchored up and started a burley trail, another stingray and a nice whiting @36cm on prawn, then all quite. Decided to head out to Cannet rock, found a litte piece of reef, tossed the pick over and started to burley. Came home with 5 bream as keepers, sent back about the same and a couple of under size snapper. Pilchards was the bait of choice.

Overall a nice day on the water, only a couple of idiots that had to screem passed and cause a wash that caused the boat to rock.

Spelling error, it should read gannet rock. It is marked by the beacon south of the marine park bouy off woody point. There is reef/rubble patches, between the bouy and the marker.
