couple of reefies and some muddies

headed out from manly around 5.15 this morning with great hopes of plenty of fish...got out the back of green and the old gps wouldn't pick up the satalites so bugger 1st set back...kept on going anyway with hopes of gettin a feed..got through the bar and headed straight for the 35's drifted around for an hour or so for 1 pissy little pig fish ....so i said to the oldman bugger it lets give boat rock a go...on the way there we tried another spot on the 35's and it put a few in the box.we got 2 squire the 1st drift there 1 was around the 40 cm and the other bout 50cm..had another 3 drifts there for bugger all so the call was made 1 more drift... as soon as i hit the bottom i was on to a solid pearlie it went 58cm after that we tried boat rock for 1 good hook up but was lost mid water...on the way home we checked and rebaited my pots for 3 good muddies biggest just under 7. 1/2 inches and the other 2 where around the 6. 3/4 inches so a good feed to be had tonite...

Good on you Rosco;
Thats a very nice Pearlie at any time and two snaps to go as well.
Add to that the 8 crabs yesterday, you might need a jug or two to wash it all down!
Sounds all in all a great weekend out on the water.

yeah mate a good fish, pitty it was the only 1 we got...give the snaps and the muddies to my oldman,just bout to have a muddie and a nice cold beer for dinner..there where only 4 yesterday...i took pics of the top of the crab and the underside of them to show how full the crabs where

you are getting on to the muddies Rosco, i havent had a muddie for years, used to get them in the river, only the odd one at green years ago
i went to the rouse on sunday, only 6 whiting, they are slow at the moment going from my own experience and what i have heard
i will start going for sandies shortly
