    East of Masthead

Headed out for a night fish east of masthead island. Got absolutely monstered by a few big cobes. Ended up with one 1.4 metre cobe shade over 20kg, a couple of trout , half a dozen red throat and a mixed bag of other reefies.
Mrs picked up her PB trout so she was happy. All in all not a bad night on the water

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

Good stuff. Nice trout! What was it like on the water? Still massive run in the tide?

The trip out was a week or so ago out at the cabbage Patch. Trip out was good but as the night got on it started to get a bit uncomfortable with the slop. Next morning the westerly was a bit uncomfortable for fishing but back closer to Gladstone it was like glass
