    Humminbird Weather Sense

    Hi All

Just wondering if anyone has had some experience with the weatherSense module for humminbird sounders ?
It sounds like a useful add on

Is it accurate and is is worth the extra $150ish spend ? -

    Thanks

    Chris

Got the impression that the service was only available in the US.

Yep, I had one. Worked well, though it always showed a pressure drop when I hit the water, unsure why? And that was ALWAYS. Every, single, time.

    Bizarre.

    Cheers,

they are worth the cash they log every two hours so if you travel to water up or down from sea level they will log acording to air pressure which is what they are about if you travel up to a lake they will log low travel down to sea level they will log high
this can be compensated by going to your gps info screen check your new altitude go into your weathersence info page and enter your new altatude
Ask yourself this would the info onscreen change how you fish
My answer is yes if it read low 900s i would batton down the hatches for a cyclone
    cheers tim

There are 2 systems - weathersense is the little square box ..... the other looks like a GPS (weather reciever - that is the one for US inland ..... and you pay for the service like the internet)

A spike in the barometer - would get me off my butt and start fishing rather than sitting around enjoying a beer in the sun !
