    Iridesecent angle flakes

Has anybody used these in epoxy?

I came across some in a joinery in Casino and I had to buy some to try.
I reckon they'd look pretty flash over a weave like Ian has just done. It'll look like shimmering water I reckon.
But anyways...has anybody tried them before??

I will give them a go next week in some left over epoxy to see what happens.

It'll probably end up I would have been better buying an instant scratchy instead of this stuff but you never know until you try I suppose.
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good

I used extra fine flakes that car sprayers use for fancy decos. Coated the first part of the rod where some ppl tie wraps. Effective ans sparkly but you need a few covering coats of unflaked to cover it up with and give it depth. I mixed royal blue with gold on a black blank. Sorry I do not have a picture, that rod is 15 yrs dead now.

I reckon you'll have best results if you apply the epoxy as standard and then sprinkle some on when it's almost set but still tacky. Then coat again.

I tried mixing some purple/green metallic stuff they put in paint with the epoxy and it all wanted to gather together as the rod rotated. Ended up all in a bunch on one side.
    Cheers,
    Owen
