Labour all of a sudden taking a keen interest in fishing

I've been known to hijack a thread but might be time to start a thread on the NBN..

Really interested to read more about what is happening with labor and fishing. I think that any recognition, even seemingly superficial, is better than we were getting. The Vic state government was very fast to knock the idea of more state marine parks on the head for the term of the next parliament. I also know that anything to do with fishing is a touchy subject within the departments at the moment.

Yeh Phil fishing issues got a lot of press in the last 5 days befor the election, a top effort by the many who pushed it. From perspective of "Issues that damaged the Labor vote", I be worried that the Greens picked up 6% of Labor's losses and the Lib/Nats only grabbed 3% (roughly).



Andy glad to hear that Labor want to talk turkey to anglers in NSW, can you expand on that? Is it the NSW State Gov? and are any other angling groups involved in the talks?

Federal Labor and ECOfishers. Unfortunatly I cant exapnd any further than that because I dont have any info. It was an email circulated to all ECOFishers NSW members. I will follow up on it.
