That confirms what I am getting out of mine on a 560C Barcrusher, 4000RPM = 40km/hr, 5000RPM = 51/52, and WOT @ 5800RPM = 60.
Thats the figures from the first run I have had in it, will be testing it further. Ideally, I would like to get a few more km/hr in the range 4000 - 5000.

Scott the 19 gets about 58km/hr and sits on the limiter. The 21 gets about 62-65 km/hr and sits short of the limiter.

The 19 gets me out of the hole real quick but I feel the 21 is a better ocean prop for my boat. The 21 has a tendancy to slip and cavitate in tight turns if I forget to trim the nose down whilst the 19 is a bit more forgiving.

Scott, mine is a 2004 model which has a different ratio from the newer ones also.

I don't have either tabs or foil. My GS is very responsive to trim, But I would like to fit trim tabs to sort out prop torque causing my hull sometimes to lean a bit.

1000 7 or 8km/h
3000 rpm 40km/h
Wot 4900rpm 65km/h

WE have a pair on a work boat for past 2 years they have done close to 700 hours with out any problems what so ever.I cant find eny thing bad about them great on fuel and we run 19 pitch props and they give us 37kn top end @ 6200 rpm every where we go. All I can say they are great motor.

I have a DF140 on a Haines Signature 542F. Currently running a 19 inch original Suzuki prop 5900rpm wot.Did have a 21 inch 5500 rpm wot overloaded i beleive . With 19 it runs very well very good on fuel. Have been told the 140 is the commercial workhorse of the Suzuki range. Dont think you can go wrong.

If you decide on the Suzuki 140 talk to your dealer about a genuine Suzuki SS prop at the time you order - they have a deal where if you order with a SS prop its about $700 extra but if you wait until later the genuine Suzuki SS prop is well over $1200. May be something you can negotiate on, and in my experience the latest Zuke SS props are very nice.

Although not a 140, I have a Suzuki DF115 on my Surtees 5.5 Workmate (Plate boat) and run a 14 x 20 Suzuki SS prop which performs really well out of the hole and gets me a bit over 65k/hr at 6100rpm. And the motor is still tight with only 40 hrs up so far.

My cruise speeds are very similar to what Scott is getting on his Barcrusher 560 with the 140. I reckon on your 5.5 plate boat the 140 will see you flying.

I have considered going up to the 22" but am very happy with the fuel economy and allround performance from the current prop so will probably stay there.

I do think that the SS props are much better than the Suzuki alloy versions - even my dealer (mate who I've known a long time) said their alloy ones are a bit ordinary for offshore work. Unless of course you frequent "rock bar" country, in which case alloy will be the best choice.
