    G'day

I'm looking to catch my first bullie sometime soon as well. From what I've heard, there are more of them around once the weather warms up a bit more.

I had a go at Coombabah Creek last weekend with a stingray bait from about 7 - 10pm, but nothing was interested. If you live around here, maybe we could have a go for the sharks sometime?

    Cheers,
    Kaidon

You will need to berly them - unless your lucky and one is in the area.
I usually do the following - and are always successful.

Cut up pilchards into smallish cubes (1" cubes) - dropping them over the side every 20 sec or so..

Live mullet around 4"-6" on a 5/0 circle hook with 80lbs fluro carbon leader tied with a loop knot. let it run down your cube trail.
Loop knot allows the hook more movement and strength where it is likely to rub against the corner of the sharks mouth. sharks are sensitive to metal so no wire trace plus they are only small sharks!

leave your reel near free spool so the shark can run with the bait then slowly strike. Do not strike initially when it takes the bait.
