hi guys, looking for a bit of advice..
about a year ago i bought a second hand curado, it is a b5.1, one of the green bantam ones..
it has fireline on it, i think it is 10 pd. ive got it matched to a 2-4 kg live fibre texallium rod..
can someone explain to me how or what the brakes should be set at, or what they affect? i am learning to cast it, and getting better with my accuracy, but about every 4th cast the spool just fluffs up with birds nests. it is as if the spool is spinning quicker than the line is going out..
the birds nests clear easy enough, but this isnt real good if i have an expectant barra on the other end...
the braid was on it when i got it, but am happy to change to a different variety if anyone thinks it will help, i am a big fan of finns, but not sure if this will make my problems worse...
any tips or tricks will be greatly appreciated..
