Holy Shit#@ ,no wind

Townsville to Cairns has no wind for this weekend. Batten down the hatches, fill the bait freezer, fuel is full.

Been a long while since most Mon to Fri fishers have had a chance to get out in this area on the weekend.

We all expect lots of good photos and reports this coming week, dont let us down.

Everyone seems a bit hesitant since some recent bad threads about showing your catch and getting bag limits of great fish. Dont let this stop you, we all love to fish, and why fish if you cannot bring home a great feed for your family and friends.

Yeah bout time the wind dropped. haven't had the boat in open water for MONTHS. Pity it isn't about 700mm longer though, I'd be out there now. Anyway, i'm hoping to put in tomorrow arvo after everyone comes in at the end of the day in my pursuit of a parking spot, be in Sunday morning, so hopefully I can get onto a few inshore species, it's a bit cold for fingermark, but its not like they dissappear in winter.

This is a fishing website. We are supposed to post photo's of catches etc....Anyone who has a problem with that should join the GREEN lobbie and get the F@#k of this site. If it's legal, post it and f@#k the lunatic fringe. Just about had enough of do-good My way is the right way #######'s. F#*k them!!!!!!!

Went to the reef at 4am from Lucinda on Saturday. Only a few trailers in the car park. Got smashed on the way out by a 10-15 knot westerly. Fished for a few of hours and we bagged out on red throat and a couple of trout and a monster spangled (no Spannies). The first 20km back in were seriuosly bumpy but then it smoothed.

The Lucinda car park at 2pm was absolutely chocker!

I ended up heading out from lucinda also, from Dungeness, 3pm on the water, and yes CHOCKERS, found a half decent park though so all was good. Didn't try for trout, but got a couple of nice trickies and spanglies before setting up for the night on the nannies, nailed 25 or so of them (4 fishing)

I went yesterday, will post a report soon, got a good bag of trout. The current was going into the wind making life difficult.

glassed out, whales every where, trout and reds everywhere, fished friday night, speared saturday, red fishing sat night and then hit the reef off the whitsundays sunday- got home 7pm- all with the flu and severe soft tissue damage to the ankle- great weekend. The missus was not impressed!!!
