    DPI QLD report of fish stocks

    Hello Ausfishers,

    The debate on fish stocks, overfishing, closures etc. has a contribution from the QLD DPI.
    Have a look at these links;
    http://www.dpi.qld.gov.au/28_16916.htm#resources
    This is fairly recent document.
    My initial reading tells me that only one species(Snapper) is overfished.
    Pearl Perch is uncertain.
    I would the Greens and PEW to respond with their science.
    Let's keep this discussion at the level of fact, not opinion.

    What annoys me about this, is the last study was done in 2005, then prior to that it was in the 90's. I would like to see this compared to Infofish's data. Using the research they have there has been no consideration given to seasonal variations such as drought and flood, and Infofish's data clearly shows this as a major contributor to biomass levels at any given time.

    Charlie's just getting too good.

    Would be interested to read some science from the Greens.
