Fishing Closure protest Tweed Heads this Sat 14 Aug

Just watching the local Gold Coast news and have seen a protest rally organised for this Saturday at the Jack Evans boat harbour Tweed Heads.
Good news piece that had the member for Currumbin supporting it and several local charter operators (and a few recs) voicing their concerns.
I've done a quick search and can't find any more info on the net anywhere.
Anyone know the details? please post

Last time I said I was going to a rally the Missus got sick. So I'm going to pull a sneaky and say "I'll try to be there" and hit her with it at the last minute!!

I was just going to throw some signs in the windows of the Prado and head on down.

I gathered from the news piece it's a stand up rally. There's actually no space down near the harbour to be driving around with boats in tow.
Anyone thinking of coming down, best bet for parking would be either the Tweed Centro shopping centre (Bay St is on the Eastern side of this) or the parking areas around Twin Towns pokie palace.
Short walk to the harbour from either of those places

Just got back from the rally.
Good turn out & a lot of passionate speakers.

Also had the resident Tree Hugging Hippie Loonie turn up to convert us......
He was quickly told where to go.....
