Thanks for nothing Nine QLD, guess because it was at Tweed heads Qld nine didn;t really think it was worthwhile putting the comments by the people afterwards in. Great report by NBN, keep getting the message out there, Greenies need to be stopped.

    Hi guys
Well all I can say is about time they all got out in the real world and got their facts straight before preaching to a bunch of already angry fishos.

Get them out of thier aircon offices out in the real world for a day and maybe their eyes will open instead of seeing down a straight path.

Without swearing -- who the hell do you vote for. Apart from abbott and gillard there aint much of a choice and a vote for gillard is a vote for the greens.

Looks like i will just stay indoors next weekend and get drunk instead-- seems like a better option to me than voting for any of them -- and i don't drink.

I'd like to start by saying I can't and won't condone violence.

I was extremely disturbed that tonight's media would focus on redneck fishermen assaulting a general member of the public. Gladly I was wrong. The Greens advocate was there to incite aggression today. He got it but luckily for us the local media portrayed it in our favour.

He nearly got away with his presence and distribution of leaflets but his loud comment of - "vote Bob Brown and the Greens" after the final speaker was too much for the crowd. The young fellas who confronted him (other than Tim and Andy) obviously had a vested interest in the industry and had a lot to lose by the Green's increased closure of our waterways. He probably got what he was looking for and probably what he deserved. I'm glad it went no further.

I'm just as glad that fisherman have had their plight highlighted two nights in a row on television media.

It's a pity there's only 7 days to go before the election. We need more of this passion.

Sadly it's a little too late and I'm not optimistic of our future after next weekend's election.

Good to meet up with Stu, Andy and Timmy today.

Congratulations to all of you, this really is great stuff. In the living rooms of as many as possible ordinary Aussies is where we want to be; the Greens are after all a minority party with absolutely no right to dictate terms to the population at large and many Aussies will resent their arrogance when they become aware of what is going on.
You may be right Brett, but a week can be a long time in politics........don't give up hope yet.
    Cheers.

The Greens guy at the Rally today - he was the Greens candidate for Richmond.

I've done some research and this is surely him - I'll take advise from others.

If it is in fact the case - pushing and bullying a "candidate" might not have been the best thing.

it was the local gold coast mob filmng it for the local news. The only reason it made other cities is because of the incident with the greens fella. I didn't see the gold coast news and haven't searched for a vid of it so can't comment on that. I did see the 9 news in Brisbane and it was 2nd story I think and came off as indeed a point that is starting to get people fired up.

Angry Re: Fishing Closure protest Tweed Heads this Sat 14 Aug

    Hi guys,

I have been thinking about this rally and what happened with the pro's going the greenie twat since then and I have decided that it was great to see some agro and I think we all need to get a bit angry. I have been sitting back watching for too long. I joined Ecofishers QLD and NSW in the last few days and I have decided that I will go to every protest and sign every petition that I physically can. I just hope it isn't too late to save our pastime. I will not sit on my hands any more. Chris Ryan if you read this I am available to help out if I am needed in the fight and I will be writing to you shortly. We really need to keep the fire in our bellies going for the upcoming State election. Lets have protests and lots of them.

Shit, I don't even mind roughing a up a few greenies if necessary if they stand in our way.

    Cheers,

    Bill
