barra in fitsroy river

G-day guys just wondering if there has been any barra court in the fitsroy river in the rockhampton area lately or do you catch barra in there when the weather warms up and if so what month do you recomend starting to fish it.

There is a barra fishing comp there every year and they catch a few

I have heard of a few smaller ones being landed october is a good month to hit them hard but as soon as the water warms up they should fire up a bit more

Hard work at the moment but we got 3 for 6 hits with lures on Sunday and 2 little fellas in the cast net (no prawns)
warmer shallow water in town around the rocks or pick a snag and throw a lure at it
