changing the back treble to a larger single is the go i think ,helping it lodge a bit better in the corner section of the mouth ,

we changed over one of the rapalas last trip and my mate had one hookup for one success a 118cm beast perfectly hooked in the corner ,i had none in the boat to change mine over this trip my fault for not checking but at least i had the lures in the boat
The singles on Double Split rings, a swivel or assist are the go for shore, their holding power has been proven in the salt on poppers and stickbaits with the Decoy hooks one of my favorites.
I was up at Mondy last week [Thurs- Sun] with a Mondy regular, gave a popper and sticky a go to no avail and only had one bump on a Slick Rig while my mate pulled a hook on a good fish while walking the shore, we certainly saw a lot of spooked fish over the 2 1/2 days of fishing. No fish but a top couple of days .
Limit your Catch - Don't Catch your Limit
Whoops!!Double posted
Limit your Catch - Don't Catch your Limit
HaHaHa ....... what a goose to forget the lures
I reckon the singles will hold better - but the hookup rate would be well down...... unlike many salt water fish which continually attack a popper or stick bait ...... barra usually only have one go at it - 6 points vs 2

paul have been looking at the decoys at moment i think they would be ok in open water situations as the can swing free, only prob might be catching the front hook when coming forward on the pause, and up in the weed pockets and lillies might be a prob, finding hooks with large enough eyes to get them thru the rings is the hardest thing i find .i only replaced the back treble with the single on the other popper the middle one kept getting caught up with the back one .when 2 singles were on it ,chris 6 points are good but with the larger single i think it will give a bit better penetration in the mouth ass the one that we landed showed .the next few trips will tell a bit more ,next weekend for me i think
