info on the Brisbane river mouth

Could anyone tell me if this time of yeasr is any good to chase threadfin or jew at the river mouth. Not tried before but but reading previous threads sounds like some good size fish are caught there regulary. Also is this only a night option for these spacies or is day just as good.

    Cheers

The fishing can be had anytime day or night, threadies have slowed down a bit but theres still some left if you put the hrs in, the jew are firing consistently most trips getting at least a few, but doing better outside the river on close reefs last couple wks. hope that helps

bait verse lures you could argue all day, for the quality fish if you know what your doing i reckon lures outfish most of the time, good or bad lures depending on your view lures catch less vermin, if there is nothing good around you will have a lot more fun catching cattys eels and rays on bait

The bigger jerkshads and paddle tail plastics certainly go well in the river for Jewies - but you have to find the fish and that will take a bit of prospecting. Livies are a bit more forgiving as you often snag a 'travelling' fish.
