    Braid colour

I mostly fish poppers/metals/hardbodies fron the rocks for tailor/trevally/jew.

Fish between a 30cm and 1,5m fluoro leader, depending on conditions, line weigth, lure size and need for distance.

Will braid colour make any difference to my "hit" rate (shut up Deepfried).

    Looking at white/red/fluoroyellow/green/blue braid.

    Would like to order soon.

Anyone interested in cheapish braid pm me. NOTHING NEW THOUGH...it is available online from the US. I've found it good value for money over the last 2 years.

    Regards, Rob.

You should have no issues - Go for it as it makes it easier for you as well

Give a man a fish & he will eat for a day !
    Teach him how to fish
& he will sit in a boat - & drink beer all day!

    Re: Braid colour

I use around 1 metre of fluro leader with different coloured braids with no difference. A word of advice about some of the imported "non branded " braids. I have found that a lot of these are over rated. I have some pelagic white 10lb that breaks at 19lb and pex/pelagic 50lb that breaks at 24lb and another chinese brand 0f 30lb that breaks at 13 lb. I know this because i sent samples to a guy named paulus on another site who has the equipment to do it. The only braids that i have tested (that i can afford) and are true to their claim are fins and suffix.
    Hope this helps
    Peter.
P.S. i got suffix braid in 300yd spools yesterday from rayanne tackle in SA.They only have 20lb & 50lb for $29.95 + shipping. That is less than 1/2 price

In short, No I dont believe so. Fluro yellow on all my spin rods, works fine and I can see it clearly in both day and night

    Re: Braid colour

Ditto with Stonecold. Fluoro yellow on nearly all my spin reels. I've caught mackeral in Bundy with it tied straight to the raider (busted off and didn't have any more leader). Makes it easier to see, i just use mono leaders twice the rod length.
