Newbs, If I can convince the short one to have another go to get out there this year, is there some spare deck for us to roll the swags out????

Hi all, I am going again this year, going for the Hat trick for champion boat under 7.5mts, (White Horse 2) 6.2mt Pride half cabin with 200hp etec. This will be our 3rd year in the tournament, with small boat 1st place the last 2 yrs, and about 4th last in the first learning curve year.
Crew of 3 will be Sleeping on my own boat, but we are doing the meals and hot shower deal on the mother ship again. Will be also getting fuel on the fuel barge to tied us over for the weekend.
The coral reef fin fish closures are not on, so we might even manage a bottom bash if the bite goes cold on the last day....
I Will be towing the boat down from Bundy by road to the bay on Thursday morning, and heading home Sunday night after the dinner, unless we decide to stay at the Ramada and have a few quiet beverages to celebrate 3 in a row... fingers crossed. Its a great event, and one of the safest times to fish in the open waters over the spit with so many boats up there. I'm excited allready.. Cheers Kev.
It is a well run competition. I will be starting the trip down on the Wednesday again. Hopefully not into 25-30kn this time... Was a rough trip down last time. We camped in Bundy overnight then continued down on the Thursday morning.
I agree, the first year is a learning curve. I will feature in the points this year for sure weather dependant...
Ya might have to raft up to the old Berty for a few sundowners one night Kev....

That is one great plan. Will catch you at the breifing for a quick beverage and a chat on the plan of attack to take out both champion vessel over 7.5mt (that would b you) and under 7.5mt (that would be me). Nothing like a bit of confidence hey.... Even if we come last, it is still a great 4 days away. If you need to ring me the phone will be on 24/7 and also during the event 0408 848 564, if you have another stop over at bundy Wednesday night, I will bring you down a couple cold ones to the harbour. Cheers Kev.
