Plenty of Variety - Bribie
Fished at Bribie in a couple of sessions Saturday night / Sunday morning with a mate.
First session was just on dark, south of the Bongaree Jetty. Had a bust off trying to land what I think was a large stingray. Only fish landed were a little stingray about bread and butter plate size and a just legal whiting which was released.
After a feed and a rest second session was near the boat ramp from midnight for about three hours at Bongaree with plenty of variety including quite a few brea, the best two 26 & 27cm, which were tonight's dinner, an eel which gave my mate Bill a good fight and then tied itself in knots when landed, a flathead of 38cm which was released to grow a bit more.
Tried Buckley's hole this morning for another small bream.
All up an enjoyable nights fishing and I am now a bit more familiar with the landbased options in Bribie. I'll be back to explore some more.
Thanks to the guy behind the counter at the bait and tackle shop for his advice nad to Ausfish member Mullet Musketeer for his tips.
Regards
Chris
