Karumba in October
Hi all,
Can anyone give me advise on this time of year. Will be camping and certainly hope to kill some fish.
Weather ?
Fishing ?
Crowded or not ??
Only landbased fishing though
Planning on a first night stay at Croydon and then 5 nights in Karumba before we travel back to Townsville over the next 3 days
Cheers

Re: Karumba in October
Weather should be pretty good that time of year, starting to warm up again. ie. getting around 32-35 during the day, still relatively cool at night. Shouldnt be much rain if any and the winds should be moderate.
Crowded? You'll still be getting the tail end of the grey nomads but most of them would have started to move on by then I'd reckon.
Fishing, well haven't been up there recently but temprature wise it would be similar to what's happening around Townsville I'd think... hopefully some other people might be able to give you more info on this part...
cheers

Thanks
Hoping that with the warmer weather the barra are looking to boof some baits. many people fish from Karumba out of boats so was hoping that there are decent spots for landbased fishing as well
cheers
