A delightful place. I did some work there circa 1981. Visited again about 8 years ago and the place had hardly changed in the intervening years, except that the tomato farms seem to have gone into Macadamias.

I don't have any answers to your questions, sorry, but I was wondering where you fish - in the creek or outside or along the beach?

g,day there Charlie a couple of years ago we found a spot where you have to drive 2klm off the road to a small resort type, just 5 self contained cabins with its own boat ramp, well may i say its a 4wd boat ramp.at low tide the water is 600 mtrs from the ramp and you cant get your boat in,however 60 %of a reasonable tide gives you access lots of shallow water for some 4 klms upstream and then you are in a paradise for any fisherman, not a soul to be seen just mangrove banks and a bottom of rock covered with barnacles we caught mangrove jack at will but the amazing part of this place was mud crabs, they were savage taking your bait and not letting go until you boated them and tapped their claws with a knife, the creek itself has its own way out to the sea about 1klm from the ramp this area is all sand great for flathead and whiting most flathead were to big to keep, i was catching the whiting on jack gut we caught some nice cod and other species, we did not go out the little bar there as we only took small tinnies but we did catch good fish off the beach, the place we stay at is called Broadwater heaven, a lovely clean place and great people to but you must make sure you go when the tides are at the biggest for the month as you wont get out, by the way the boat ramp is 30 mtrs from your cabin.
