    Just popping about this morning!

Went down to kawana this morning for a fish and to give the popper a work out for trevally, First cast of the popper i had a big hit and went hmm interesting threw the popper around some more and hooked up to a nice little treva, few more casts on again went quiet for a little bit as boats came flying passed, right before the tide changed I had a follower splashing and boofing at the surface lure had about 5 big strikes at the popper before it hooked up. Never seen surface action like that before on the popper was so breath taking just watching and screaming on the inside saying hook up hook up haha.

So got my three fish in about 40 minutes i should of gone home but hung around and nothing but just legal bream.

I have been chasing trevally for the passed month or so, Are they best targeted on the top of the tide when it goes really SSSllllllOwww ? I noticed they went of the bite once the tide rolled over but the wind picked up to so maybe a combination of both ?

Nice work mate. You're starting to get consistantly good results on the Trev's.

How are you preparing them for the table ? Are they good on the chew ?

I eat pretty bland but i like to soak the fillets in some lemon juice and then crumb them. I find them to be very nice eating but not as good as a fat golden trevally.

I am still working out conditions I am presuming not alot of surface noise boats and not alot of wind so the bloops from the popper are loud as can be.( i caught those three at the very top of the high tide ) but from i understand trevally LOVE structure, I target them around a bridge with lots of private jetties with big moored yachts and boats plenty of shade and hidey structure for them to rub you off against . The water i fish is about 3m - 4m deep depending on the tide .

Hopefully thats what you were asking and i was some what of a help.
