Welcome to Bilo. There's a few of us kicking around on here.

With the tinny, wait until the weather warms up and join us out at the dam braining the barra.

With the Mclay....no good for up here. Drop it off at my place and I'll get rid of it for you! Otherwise Rock Cod shoals out of Gladdy is a good starting point, and out to Masthead Is and surrounding reef in better weather than at the moment.

What colour is the big boat? Might have seen you around town as I saw something big that I didn't recognise.

    Cheers

I'll second Rock Cod, im only new to Gladdy but this spot seems to be pretty easy fishing, with the 6.5m the sky is the limit. Also up at Rundle (Rocky) island is a nice spot to have a look at, the eastern side holds good fish and have found some nice mackies floating about. In the 4m out the front of curtis/facing out from rat island (the little rocky outcrop in the middle of the two big islands) is suppost to have mackies and coral trout in the shallows (ive never fished there but have heard)

Cape Capricorn barge, Rock Cod, Keppel rocks, Melissa wreck. and these are within a few mile. There are plenty of places for the mclay.

    Try google for some marks.
