    sea fever - airlie beach

    Hi guys

    just thought id do a quick report on my charter at the whitsundays with sea fever fishing charters.

    our charter seemed doomed from the very start as we couldnt get the numbers then we all got sick then the weather turned bad. but anyway finally we managed to get out there and we caught loads of big small mouth nannagai, large mouth nannies, red emperor and all sorts of big reef oddities. the action was thick and fast and we really only fished for about 1hour on these species as we had more than enough for the boat and we could not release them back into the deep water. we the started trolling for spanish and again absolutely brained the macks with numerous 4 way hookups on fish all around the 8kg mark and again we had to leave the macks biting as we really didnt need anymore macks. (i wanted to keep going and get a few on the flick sticks and release them but oh well) then we went to the reef edge and nailed a few big redthroat and trout to cap off the perfect day.

    we went on the ultimate outer reef charter and had an unbelieveable time.

    i would reccomend these guys (Ash and Benny) to anyone they really went the extra mile for us and we were very thankful.

    so if you want a charter in that area then these guys are the guys to do it with.

    Great day out Tyson;
    We had heard about sea fever but couldn't get out with them last February due to the weather. There are no other charters from Airlie worth talking about based on searching these forums although the fishing on the reef rather than round the islands can be spectacular if only some others would go there.

    Envious of you

    Thanks for that Fishboy, am planing on going out offshore from Airlie next weekend (weather depending) and hopefully we will have some of your luck. The missus hasn't been on a charter yet, would love to take her, if you don't mind.....how much did it cost. Thanks
